STEP-BY-STEP DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITY
Ask participants to think about the cultural differences they have experienced when hosting their exchange student and while being hosted in their host family (negative as well as positive cultural anecdotes).
Have them think about questions and multiple-choice answers related to their own culture (with some answers clearly based on stereotypes).
Create an online (Kahoot) quiz about own and hosting cultures and manners to show why it is important to challenge stereotypes based on our vision of another culture.
RECOMMENDATIONS / TIPS
You can have your own students first take a quiz on manners of the hosting culture and discuss their answers. Then have them create their own quiz. It involves that the hosting partner does the same exercise with his pupils.
